WHAT IS THE DOJO?
Though beginners are welcomed at the Comedy-Dojo it is FAR beyond your typical comedy class that you have probably seen offered at a local comedy club or online.
It is an actively and re-actively coached workshop and process that helps draw out of you that funny twisted thinking and off acting character we all have inside us. Through the Dojo ways you learn to harness your inner smart ass-wise cracking personality and turn it into compelling and funny standup.
Comedy cannot be coached properly through books and formulas. The Dojo is for real and is a powerful & personal way for you to learn how to use comedy to express yourself. The Comedy~Dojo is live active learning.
WHERE AND HOW MUCH DOES DOJO TRAINING COST?
*There is a 5 WEEK DOJO that is offered in certain cities currently.
-Ypsilanti, MI at The Mix Stuio workshop theater
-Cincinnati, OH
-Cuyahoga Falls, OH The Funny Stop Comedy Club.
-Detroit 'Big Tommy's comedyclub

*The TUITION of these 5 week Dojos is $200. This includes personal online help from me and other experienced comedians with working out your writing and stage character. (Webcam dojo soon)

'One day dojo comedy sessions available'

*If you own a venue and would like to host a Dojo there is a one day Dojo offered as well. Usually at a cost of $50 per person. This Dojo runs about 3-4hrs in length. It can be coupled with my personal appearance date with your venue as well. (I book my own shows & work with agencies)
Private sessions can be arranged.
Yes I do offer private 1hr Webcam dojo sessions, or telephone sessions to new and more experienced comics to assist with material expansion, tags and development of new material in new areas.

WOULD YOU LIKE A CRITIQUE?
If you'd like to have a personal critique from a video of your act (that often includes some punch up and ideas for expansion) that to can be arranged by pre-payment to Paypal and sending me an email of a link to your video. I can respond in usually less than 72hrs.
5-10 min vid. cost- $50 (only available as my schedule allows)

That is up to the individual.
The atmosphere of the dojo continually inspires you to do the work and apply the techniques and personal coaching. I have had a rare personality or two that has come thru the process and for some reason refused or simply not wanted to do or carry on the work. Without question that has hampered their progress. That is why the mantra of the dojo is simply....
