Pain is a good thing when it comes to stand up comedy. Material conceived frm challenges overcome with a sense of humor is usually well received by an audience. I suppose you could make the statement that successful comedy is much about laughing with and about our personal pain. In my experience I have found that audiences LOVE to see and hear about pain subdued. And the beautiful thing is it can be the tiniest of pain; a paper cut, one stressful moment, slightest confusion or a second of anger, etc. |
