Live for today. That's it, that's my big fat comedy message.
Yes you have to prepare for tomorrow but you'd be surprised how much of that success rests on what you do today....but by all means for your own sanity,... TODAY first!
Get into the journey funny people, you'll get more out of it and you won't be disappointed, you'll get funnier too, your writing will improve. I say this from experience. I was there once; focused only on the destination and when I got to my dream spot it wasn't what I wanted at all. I was miserable.
I was on top of the world with large sums of money being thrown at me, more than I was used to at least (in LaLa TV land I was earning more money while I was asleep than I had ever earned busting my ass in comedy clubs).
That's the way the big time is...it's a lot about the money.
I WAS miserable.
Make the destination just a stop on your journey. Continue on even when you think you have arrived BUT don't ever forget to commit 100% to everyday, wring it out like a well used washcloth. Does that make sense? ;) I hope.
Destination can make your life fly by, you don't want that. A creative person must feel as if each moment is precious.
Don't limit yourself, the destination is only one place in your imagination, the journey is everything and forever and it's immediate always...but only if you're present and in the moment.
Be there for yourself. To be or not to be? Just be.
& Go ahead and be needy, just be REAL funny about it!
